- Costs, Planning, Strategy, more...

>> However, let's not forget an important aspect of our jobs as LEADERS in new quarters. Quarterly Check-Ins. <<

Through all the hustle and bustle of management, each quarter provides an opportunity for a Leader to do Quarterly Check-Ins. Take a moment to have longer conversations with our Direct Reports on their goals, their achievements in the last quarter, and where they are going. Check-Ins are moments to set outcomes and align a Leader and their Employee towards a common goal to inform future work.

📣 It's also an opportunity for us as Leaders to solicit feedback. How can we better support you in your role? What feedback do you have for me? What are opportunities I could have done better this quarter?

I tend to use this framework when setting up a quarterly check-in:

1. Setting the stage for meeting objectives and agenda.
2. Review progress and performance.
3. Discuss Current Work & Upcoming Goals.
4. Career Development Discussions.
5. Feedback for Me, the Leader.
6. Wrap Up.

>> 🚨 What framework do you follow for quarterly check-ins? Are you doing them, and if not, should you start? <<

Stay tuned for a longer blog post on this in the future!
